The history of Pédesclaux begins at the beginning of the 19th century when Urbain Pierre Pédesclaux, wine broker in Bordeaux, purchases in an enlightened way various parcels of vines put up for sale after the Revolution and creates the estate which he manages in a wise way. Its wine will thus be chosen as a 5th Grand Cru Classé in 1855. The estate finally leaves the Pédesclaux family in 1891 for that of the Count of Gastebois. His heirs leased the property in 1930 to Lucien Jugla then sold it to him in 1950 when they decided to retire.

Renovation efforts are undertaken but family divisions lead to the sale in 2009 to Jacky Lorenzetti, founder of the real estate company Foncia, and his wife Françoise, both wishing to extend their wine-growing division after the purchase of Château Lilian Ladouys in 2008. The Technical Department was entrusted to Vincent Bache-Gabrielsen, agronomist. The objective is clearly to bring the wine back to a level more in line with that of
