Description

For more than four centuries, Gosset champagnes have been produced with the know-how of family craftsmanship.

In 1584, Pierre Gosset, alderman of Aÿ and winegrower, produced mainly red wines.
At the time, on the table of the kings of France, two wines were regularly put forward: the wines of Aÿ in Champagne, as well as the wines of Beaune in Burgundy.
Both made from the same grape varieties: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

However, in the 18th century, the wines of Aÿ and the region became effervescent.
Thus the house will prosper and perfect its blends over the years.

In 1994, the COINTREAU group acquired the GOSSET house and pushed it to its best level.

Therefore, in order to offer a unique champagne with singular aromas, malolactic fermentation is carefully avoided in order to preserve the malic acid which restores the naturally fruity aroma of the wines.
